Do You Have Class?
I do think that I have class, but in different ways. For instance, I think that people can trust me and rely on me, I hope. I don’t really like to talk about myself because I don’t know if all people think of me that way. I don’t want to make myself sound like the Queen of the world.
I guess I would call myself classy. It’s funny, because today I was walking through the hallway and Mrs. Cartee and Mr. McGuire said “there is a classy young lady”. It made me feel good hearing that from a couple of teachers. I just thought that was funny because now I’m writing a blog post about it on the same day.
I think the reason some people would think that I’m classy is because of my work ethics. I work very hard to achieve, in everything I do I give it 100%. Not just in school but in sports. I play three sports and in each of those sports I try my hardest.
I hate it when people think that to be classy, you have to have the money….WRONG! It drives me insane when people walk around with nice clothes and try to show people up. They are trying to be better than you, they will make up any kind of story just to make them self sound better than you. Some people wear nice clothes and have a lot of money BUT they are kind to you and help you out.
So lets say your in an empty room with no one watching you, you have nothing to do and your math teaching gives you a couple of worksheets to do but it’s your choice to do them. Someone that would do the papers would have class. Someone that didn’t care might not have as much class.
Alright, so lets say that a teacher is in the room with you. Now what will you do? Will the do the work to impress the teacher? I’m sure most kids would. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is the person who did to improve them self (which would probably be the person that did the work with no teacher in the room). That is the true meaning of class is someone who does something, not just because they have to, but because they want to and want to improve them self.
Some people that I look up to and who have class is definitely one of my friends, Alex. She is a true classy person. If you have met Alex you would agree with me. She is the nicest, sweetest, most trustworthy person I have ever met. She is a true friend. She is patent with you and will help you up when your down. My other friends, Shala and Caitlin, are the same way.
It’s easy to be a leader when everything is going perfectly well….but the question is, who can be a leader when everything is not so peachy? When everyone is down and out, can you lead them? Can you pick them up and support them? That’s the true meaning of a leader.
I love this quote. It is so true! I would like to call myself a leader but I’m not sure. This sooooo true. I hope people look at me and call me classy and a leader.
