The Big Field

Today in the Reading Workshop,I read the book Baseball, Snakes, And Summer Squash by Donald Graves. I read the poem The Big Field. It’s about this boy and his brother  having a dream, they both want to play baseball, in the major league. The two brothers play baseball all day.

I really like this book. I can relate to this book in a lot of ways. My brother, Rod, and I also have a dream on going pro. My dad and Rod and I take a bucket of balls and play baseball at the baseball diamond here in Laurelville. If we could, we would down there all day.
